The Fabric Guide
Plies: All of the Ambassador shirts are made from Two Ply Superfine cotton. Two Ply means that 2 yarns have been twisted together before the cloth has been woven. The more plies the stronger the yarn.
Weights: The cloth weight is measured in grams per square meter (gr/m2). A good weight for an everyday shirt is 104g/m2 with the slightly heavier fabrics coming in at 160g/m2.
Herringbone: A popular style that can be worn with most ties styles. Diag0nal stripes can be either one or two colours.
Twill: The Twill weave creates a diagonal rib on the fabric. Twills are a family of sturdy fabrics. Plain: One of the three basic weaves it is often described as home spun because it is often the simplest of all weaves.
